|
|
Hi, I have recently got a garmin and got to grips with using POILoader and have loaded the latest database and the custom icons, but my question is when an update is released do i have to remove the old database and reload the new one or can i add the new POIs and it will overwrite?
Any help will be appreciated |

POILoader over-writes your last version.
So if you have any other poi's etc, you need to load them along with the camera files at the same time. Including sounds and icons. |

If you have a set of your own POI's you can rename them and keep them on the Garmin as a seperate file.
When you use the POI loader you also have the option to save your file to another location. I save my files to the desktop and then rename them as appropriate eg uk_cameras or uk_pois or french_cameras etc.
That way you don't need to overwrite important files you want to keep.
However, you must delete similar files otherwise you will confuse yourself and your poor Garmin! _________________ =================================
