reading about lifetime bans for allowing the speed camera data to go free on the web,can someone tell me what happens in this scenario.
your unit is stolen and all data from it is copied and released on the net..........
you lend your unit to a "friend" and he copies it and distributes the info on the net..............
what proof does a member have to provide in order to escape any ban,i pay pwgps for my data and will willingly continue to do so,but i drive a truck and am probably going to get my cab broken into sometime in the future, so need a bit of info regarding the matter. |

We take each case individually. If you've had a device stolen then it's highly unlikely that the thieves would be savvy enough to copy the data off the device, they are only interested in off-loading it ASAP for cash.
It would also be very unusual for a unit 'lent' to a friend or colleague to have the data copied off it, and on many units this simply wouldn't work, you need the actual download itself.
But if you lend a unit to a friend then you take the risk. And if your device is stolen then there would presumably be a crime report?
I don't want to go into too much detail about our methods, if there is an honest explanation then I'm sure we can discuss it. _________________ Darren Griffin |

When my van was broken into they didn't get my unit, because I didn't leave it there for them to take. _________________ Dennis
