Hi, MikeB
Received your email with thanks.
Now have App333.apk.
I take it I Uninstall the Beta, and not try to Install over the top of it? [just making sure! ]
With regards
Take Care

Sorry guys but should have posted this earlier. Last week I was on a trip from Cheshire down to London and noticed a couple of things.
One was that the map disappeared for a short while around the M5/M42 area cameras were still displayed and the other thing was that the average speed box disappeared after a short while.
Unfortunately I was unable to investigate as not only was I concentrating on my driving my Samsung Galaxy S was draining it's battery rather rapidly. I was linking my CPL8 (PDA) to the SGS via wifi and with the GPS and display on the charger couldn't keep up with the drain so had to turn it off. |

I've just installed the new version overwriting the old one. Good to see zoom option in GPS mode. I get Force Close when zooming in and out and also viewing camera details and displaying camera on map. This doesn't happen always though.
Edit: tested on Desire Z |

Me Too was moving around the map zooning in and out then it stopped. Force close appeared but the app was still shoing in the task bar. re opened it through that and it was working fine. Did not get the old data warning this time I opened it.
Running on HTC Desire |

The best way to install it is to type the link into the browser on the phone, it will happen automatically then. _________________ Mike Barrett |

In reality I use the Sygic MM10 mapping with GPS, so this problem would not in theory affect me but is for your info. |
Yep, I'm getting that as well.
Couch testing - GPS signal not the best - but when zooming in quite close to a camera, I'm getting the Force Close message as well.
Will test for real in the morning on way to work.

I've checked with Lutz and it is the amount of memory, in MB, that the app is using.

Hi MaFt,
Just sending off 3 crash logs. I had a quick look and they all seem to show lack of memory for the bitmap image.
I have also noticed today that when zooming in and out and and leaving it alone whilst driving, the MB number at the top right is showing between 8MB lowest up to 16MB at highest.
If that is the MB the app is using, I only have 26.5MB free on the phone memory, so that may well be an issue for me - I don't know.
However, on occasions this afternoon, the map just disappeared all together, just a white back ground. The camera alerts came up OK though.
I have moved everythng I can onto the SD card, but some of the Google Apps and 'Flash' just won't go.
