Do we get to play with the new version prior to formal release? _________________ Acefreecell

Hi MaFt
Thanks you for the reply.

Sorry to have to ask this question.
But is that the 'About' in CamerAlert ? or in the 'About' on my Android Device ?
PS. Sent email with CamerAlert 'About' as I am thinking that the one you need.

If it not one problem it another
Now every time I start [tried 4 Time] CoPilot Live, for some reason It keep asking me to Please enter your Google Checkout order number.
Which is already showing the correct number. [re-entering it make no difference]
When I click OK, it goes in to a loop:-
Quote: | Sorry: your Google Checkout
number is Invalid
Click Back to enter your order number
or Exit to exit the application
?
Exit |
Any help will be much appreciated.
Take Care

You'd need to take this up with Google / Android Market / CoPilot? Nothing to do with CamerAlert!

Hi, MaFt
Quote: | Nothing to do with CamerAlert! |
I know and understand that.
The reason I posted was just hoping some one might be able to help from the Forums, because I am sure I not the first to come across the Problem.
I and filled in the ticket page at Copilot Live Support and sent it off to them.
It says:- Quote: | ]If you have purchased and activated your product within the last 60 days you are entitled to telephone support | which seems OK,
Until I read this bit:- Quote: | Please call 0871 6412 540
(8p per minute from a Standard BT Landline) |
Well that could end up costing more then the Product.
I now realise I posted about it in the wrong Forum.
With regards
Take Care

Re: My Post, Would you believe it [solved]
Thanks to really helpful staff at ALK: CoPilot Technical Support
The Cause:
This issue occurs when the Google order number has not reached our [ALK] server by the time the 10-day trial period is over. (A 10-day trial is activated when you purchase from the Android Marketplace to give Google time to send the order number to our [ALK] servers and to allow you to use the product in the meantime).
& The Solution:
First uninstall CoPilot from your device. [No need to delete data on SD Card]
1) Uninstall CoPilot in SETTINGS | MANAGE APPLICATIONS | COPILOT.
Then clear the cache in your device:
2) Go to SETTINGS / MANAGE APPLICATIONS / Market Place / Clear cache
Now download the installer again from Android Market
3) Download CoPilot from the Market Place again (you will not be charged for this)
Once you download the application again, please activate it using your Google NO: ***************
With Regards
Take Care

Might be an idea to put this in the co-pilot section as well, as it could be very useful.

Thank you for helping us test the CamerAlert application for Android. I hope you found it useful.
We have taken note of your comments and have added some of the requested features into the app. Some of the changes we have made are in the registration and validation of your account. This has resulted in an incompatibility between the existing app that you have on your device and our backend systems.
The upshot of this is that as of tomorrow 11th Jan we will be removing all the current registrations from the database. This will mean that you will not be able to download the database onto the phone until the application is available in the Android Market. This will not stop the application working in the interim.
The good news is that when the app is available you will be entitled to another free latest database download.
For all our users who had linked their subscription to the Android CamerAlert application we have sent you an email explaining what to do next. If you linked your account but did not receive an email please contact support at pocketgpsworld.com quoting your username and we will resend the information. _________________ Mike Barrett |
