How does the phone/cradle communicate with the COMAND system? Wired or via BT? _________________ Lutz

It could have done A2DP.
Anyhow. We do not know how to enforce speaker output when a wired dock is connected. If you know how to do it - please let us know. _________________ Lutz

You could use A2DP while you have connected the sim via BT SAP and that would be nice but a huge battery drain and is not supported by the Mercedes BT SAP unit.
My dock simply makes a connection via the TV Out of the Galaxy S to the TV in of the Mercedes. Works a treat with the added bonus of viewing EzcAM output via the Mercedes COMAND monitor. The only other connection is to charge the phone via the USB connection, which is necessary as using BT and GPS is a huge battery drain in itself.
Do you have any insight into my subscription issue? I raised it with PGPSW support but they have no idea and referred me back to this forum. |

Despite my phone being linked I am unable to download. I get the status message: You are not subscribed for downloads.
My subscription is up to date as evidenced by the fact I downloaded with no problems via EZCam this morning. |

First, great app. Been trying it this week on trips to work etc, where I know there are fixed and mobile cameras. Also had the trusty Garmin running to check the difference. The Cameralert app is really good, but does has some things I need to work out:
- Need to get a narrow field so that cameras on the road you are on are alerted, I think the feature is there, just need to work it out.
- App crashes when I select the map option (usually when switching to show map, or none) logs sent in.
- I like the option to have the overspeed voice which is great if the phone display is off but it is hard to tell if the warning is for the road you are on or a side road nearby.
- On my device (Motorola Defy Android 2.1) the map option does not seem to work and there is no display of cameras on either the Google map or navigation option?? Could be linked to the crash when selecting in the options.
- Sometimes the download of new database option might not work, but could be due to the signal?
Hope some of this helps with the development of the app and I look forward to the full version being released. If a step by step guide to the crash issue is required, then I can email it in. Interesting to note it does not seem to be an issue with other users.
As a side issue, I noticed else where that people report the icon staying on, this has not been an issue that I have noticed, the app will sit in the background and when exited, the icon disappears quickly. The GPS icon also disappears when the app is closed. _________________ Acefreecell

Have there been any updates to CamerAlert beta for Android since it was made available over Xmas? I've got v1.00.294 (followed by a long hex number).
(I've done a quick search for "version" and for "update" but found nowt.) _________________ Anton |

As I understand it, this was only a "Limited Offer" download for the two days over Xmas in order for there to be a 'closed' trial involving members on a 1st come 1st served basis.
This was to try and identify bugs/fixes and get them sorted before taking the App further.
I've had some good fun testing mine, no real problems other than a few that have already been mentioned. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

That was my understanding too.
Since there's been some feedback from users, I just wondered if any changes had been released. Not nagging -- just didn't want to have missed anything! _________________ Anton |
