Blast! For some reason I kept putting 12 when I meant 13 in the text when I was preparing it last night!
Thanks for alerting me. I'll ensure all the entries so far are correctly allocated to the Day 13 draw.
Now corrected. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Today is Day 14 and it's a Competition open to ALL forum members.
The prize on offer is a smartphone case from Otterbox. They're superb, heavy duty cases that offer THE very best protection possible.

Do we still need to put a specific subject on emails? It's not mentioned in the text any more, but the mailto: link is setting one (which makes getting at it a pain for those of us using webmail...) |

I never stipulated you had to use a specific subject, it's there for ease of use but never has been a requirement? _________________ Darren Griffin |

This doesnt quite match with "If you use webmail or cannot otherwise use the kink above to launch your mail application, please enusre you use the subject line: 24 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Competition Entry - Day 15. Emails that do not contain this subject line may not be accepted."
At the very least it "strongly encourages" the use of the specified suject line but it is easily copy and pasted to most webmail systems. _________________ TomTom Go 540 - V9.058, Map GB & Ireland 860.3101

But that was only added today. The post above prompted it!
I've been getting emails with no subject, the answer in the subject line and every other possible variation. When you also consider that people are still entering the Day 1 comp (and every day in between) it seemed like a good idea to help me organise it all.
I am still handling entries that do not follow the email subject line but it makes my life easier.
As I said, it wasn't a requirement, nor did I ask for it on any comp prior to today. But if it's free and people want to enter then i don't think it too onerous to require they enter the subject line as stated if they wish their entry to be considered do you? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I hadnt realised that the entry had only just been added
For a truly free competition it seems entirely reasonable and fair to expect people to follow the instructions
The only complaint I have so far is that I havent won anything yet
As a lifetime member I will probably win another lifetime membership _________________ TomTom Go 540 - V9.058, Map GB & Ireland 860.3101

Well actually I hadn't either! . My memory is playing tricks too - I was sure I had seen the message about including the topic right from Day 1 !! _________________ David

That's fantastic news, very much appreciated. This is a great web site with the best cameras, a helpful bunch of people and now I've won a prize. It's made my day! I really enjoy my walking, especially in the lake district and this prize should make planning, finding and sharing routes much more enjoyable. Thank you very much. _________________ Paul |
