Hi everyone
Have a new car with a usb connection in the glove box. If I connect my 730 to this it asks 'do I want connect to the computer?'
If I say no after about three minutes the unit powers off.
The battery is fully charged and runs fine on its own or from the cigar lighter connection.
Any ideas would appreciated as less cable is used with the usb connection.
Many thanks

This is only an educated guess but its more than possible the USB connection in the glovebox is not arranged to have a charging output current and acts only as an input device to the cars audio system.
If you have the handbook for the car it may explain this.
The TT device is therefore being a little intelligent, as you have told it don't connect to the computer, it then determines there is no milk at the milk bar for top up purposes and turns off. It may otherwise cause a drain upon the TT battery. |

The device will shut down after a period of time connected to the PC with no activity or interaction with the PC, your USB port in the car will probably be for memory sticks etc to play music through the stereo.
Don't connect the TT to it - Mike |

Thank you both for your speedy replies.
I think you have both explained the problem.
The car handbook states 'some devices cannot be charged or played via the USB adapter'
The fact there was a light on the front of the 730 I assumed it would charge and work.
How wrong could I have been
Many thanks for all your help.
