I think the version No. must be applicable to the device rather than the map, my UK&ROI is version 860.3126 _________________ TomTom ONE Series 30 (v8) & TMC traffic

That explains a lot. After installing the new UK map early on yesterday my 720 was freezing at the start up screen and, after trying unsuccessfully to sort it out, I deleted the downloaded map and started again yesterday evening.
After two hours (but that's partially down to my PC where all file transfer had become painfully slow) I found the map it had given me was v855! At that point there was no explanation on the TT website, so thanks Paul. It'll save me a phone call this morning! _________________ Anita

It was by chance I noticed a small box on the corner of the website mentioning "Map Update Issues" Not exactly obvious! |

That was not showing last night when I tried to download the map. Went to TT's web site to check on my sub. No sub download via home. But their web site said it was available for my TT when I searched. |

Just downloaded 8.6.3101 W&CE for the 940 & UK&ROI for the 930 from the map service.
Home is still telling me there are newer versions of my map available.
Maybe it is my imagingation but the traffic bar now starts after about 1-2 mins instead of 5. I cannot see how a map could change this. _________________ Drivelux |

As per the other thread regarding the Traffic Bar issue with the latest NavCore, TT have confirmed a new NavCore will fix this issue. |

Downloaded the UK map for the third time this afternoon and everything seems OK - so far. Had to copy mapsettings.cfg from v855 backup. _________________ Anita
