Request for Feedback - Multi-tasking CA 1.2 and GPS App

iPhone 3GS 32Gb (iOS 4.1)
TomTom cradle
TomTom 1.5 (with traffic)
CamerAlert 1.2

I've just switched to using TomTom on an iPhone (used CoPilot on Android previously). Using the TomTom dock and I'm getting the problem with TT losing lock frequently but only when CamerAlert is running, as soon as I terminate CamerAlert then TT has a solid lock. GPS Status app suggests the fix is always good even when TT and CamerAlert are running.

In addition to my previous post, I did a 200 mile round trip today and experienced the CameAlert quiting problem when it is the background several times. When CA was working in te background, the problems with TT losing lock continued.

iPhone Model: iPhone 4
Navigation App: TomTom
App Version: 1.5
CamerAlert App Version: 1.2

No other apps running, or even after reset. CamerAlert in background. Tomtom greys out regulary and I get no notifications from CamerAlert on cameras.

No crash logs for CamerAlert.

Just to add to my post above. I've noticed if I switch to CA from Tomtom, CA appears to be at the loading screen. Then, after a second loads normally.

If I then go back into TomTom and then back again, it will be on the loading screen again.

Since updating my iPhone 3GS to IOS 4.2.1, CamerAlert seems to co-exist with TomTom better. I noticed very few GPS lock loss events on a recent trip. However CamerAlert did close once when in background mode.

Any update on this problem or has it stalled whilst you work on the Android version?

Still can't reliably run CA with my iPhone 4 Sad

This app has fantastic potential if only it would work reliably.

Navigon Europe on IPAD,

erratic multi functioning, cameralert, seems to need time to lock up and load databases whilst at the front, if switch straight to Navigon, it misses cameras, both seem to co-exist OK though have lost voice instructions on Navigon several times, though route still displayed, necessitating reboot and reload of Navigon.

Cameralert also not showing cameras on some roads but then next time down the same locations appears (see old thread re Nottingham, Arnold Rd) this seems worse with multi tasking ie more roads missing cameras
