Bay..sick..lee.....
On the 'map correction' screen, you can only change the speed for each section of road that 'lights up' in green when you tap on it.
Sometimes those sections are tiny (just a section between exits on a roundabout, for example)....
......but sometimes they are entire sections of road, miles long.
The first means it's easy to miss bits when you're correcting a whole stretch, and the second means you often can't correct a short stretch.
When you select a road to correct, usually several sections are automatically selected. If that's too many, the easiest way to see what you're doing is to select ANOTHER road nearby, then deselect that and start selecting the bits of the road you DO want - hence Dennis' suggestion of selecting a small side road first.
It's tedious and fiddly, and easy to make a mess of it, but there's no better way currently. It would be good would be if you could just select two points on a road and tell it to change the speed between those two points, but I think that would require a complete re-write of how the map info is encoded. |

Do you loose all your hard work when you do a map update? |

Then it might be good to inform widescreenforever of this magnificent TT feature |

I've been doing that in my signature for quite some time. _________________ Dennis

Same as any other MapShare correction....
If enough people report it, then it MIGHT get included in the next map, but if not, it's gone. |

I don't know. I've updated the map several times and it's always kept MY updates. Can't vouch for any i downloaded but when TT got me to reset my unit i lost all MY updates since day 1. They came back after i restored the unit. So it appears you will keep all your own hard work. |

And just imagine... widescreenforever feels sufficiently concerned about accuracy to come on here trying to discover the way to get it right. Sadly some others don't, hence a few (?!) errors creep in. _________________ Dennis

I usually zoom in about two or three bars above the maximum zoom.. I'll try later and see if I go 100% max and see what happens... |
