Memory Map Adventurer S7000

Anyone used one?

The 7" 800 x 480 screen does appeal when compared to using Memory Map on my Axim X51v in my discovery.

Any know shortcoming when compared to memory map on a PDA for in vehicle use?

Sorry, not used one myself but there appears to be a number of unhappy customers on MM's own forum particularly concerning the general usability, slow screen updating and a "delayed" software update.

From what I can gather the update is mainly for the use by pilots.

instead of creating a new thread, i thought i would add to this one, if the original poster doesnt mind

i have a S7000 Truckmate Pro, it was bought for me last year when i was driving trucks across europe, i have since given up driving, but still have the sat nav, now i am more interested in green laning

does anyone know how i can convert my S7000 Truckmate Pro to an Adventurer S7000, seems silly to me to spend in excess of £500 when i have the hardware here, just not the software
