I need to reinstall TomTom3 to my ipaq 2210 after being on holiday and forgetting to leave the PDA on charge. For some reason, my PC using Win98, isn't opening the setup.exe file but I'm able to download all the other 8 folders from the CD to the desktop, so I need to install the appropriate files manually. Can someone please tell me which files I need to install and into which folders on the Pocket PC. The SD card seems to still hold the maps, so I presume that I need just the application, voices and GPS stuff.

you don't need your CD at all (ok, you need it for the voice files). Go to the TomTom site and download the latest versions of the Navigator program (3.04 I think) and GPS driver (3.03). Run the setups, they will install everything onto your Pocket PC at the next ActiveSync session.
For the voice files, browse the CD for the appropriate CAB file, copy that to the Pocket PC and run it via the Pocket File Explorer. _________________ Lutz

I've visited the TomTom website, and all I can find is free upgrades for TomTom3. It suggests that after a 'Hard Reset', TomTom3 should be reinstaled from the CD and then the upgrade can be downloaded. The problem that *I* am having is getting the TomTom3 to install OFF the CD, so at the moment am stuck!
Have you got a web address on theTomTom website where I can get the downloads you recommend?

That did the trick!
I've managed to load TT3 in the way recommended by downloading the update and got POIs loaded and all working well except I still can't get the Voice to operate. Can anyone specify in which folders on the PDA do the various required voice files live? If I know where they should be found then I will have no problem in putting them into the appropriate places. just take the voice CAB file from the CD and copy it to the Pocket PC. Then tap on it in the File Explorer. This will (re)install the voice wav files as required. _________________ Lutz
