|
|
I need maps for ireland in a few weeks, but i have just been on the Memory Map website and its a bit confusing, i can see that you can buy sections of map, but it doesnt give me any indication if any of the bits i need are even available
I have the whole of England / scotland / wales, so i dont want to buy an add on and find out i cant get what i want
So does anyone have a link to anywhere i can just buy a disc with the maps for Ireland on ? or is anyone selling one ?
I dont think they do ROI do they ? that would be an advantage, but its Northern Ireland i am looking for, and inparticular the area around Newry / Mourne
Any help or info would be great

Have a look at Mobile Atlas Creator and see if the maps (google,OSM, etc) meet your needs. If so, save as a .map and image and use MAPC2MAPC to create a .jpr to load into Memory-map. [You may need to use an image editor to reduce the image to 8 bits] |

Have a look at "Quo" (click Here) as they offer IRL and NI mapping that works on the PC and PPC, real benefit is you can purchase the maps as small tiles to keep the cost down to just the area you need coverage for - Mike |

My skills are very limited with stuff like this, so the first reply, while it sounds great, may be a little out of my skill level sadly.
With the second one, i use Memory Map on an O2 XDA Mini S mobile phone with a Bluetooth GPS, would that software work in a similar way ? |

Indeed the Quo package works in a very similar way to the MM solution, I have used it on similar hardware (HTC PDA based phones) with no issues at all, it will certainly work on the Mini-S - Mike |
