Hi can someone check their maps to confirm or not the street names showing on my tt540. I live in a fairly new development attached to an old NHS Hospital called Kingseat near Aberdeen. After the upgrade to the latest navcore the the roads in the hospital area have sprouted some new names which I believe are situated in or around Glasgow. I have an image from my 540 but cannot seem to show it in this post. Use this to find the area
N 57deg15.817', W 2deg09.267'
The odd thing is you have to "Browse Map) to see the names they do not show up in the normal map view (2D) but if you change to 3D they show up without changing to "Browse Map"
Thanks in advance _________________ Previously owned: Street Pilot III, TomTom 720, Navigon 7100

It might help to know the street names that you are querying. I can only look in Browse map as I am not in the area but the following names show (without zooming in) off the B979.
Riverside Park (area)
Mckenzie Drive
Torrance Wynd
Clydeside Expressway/Beancross Road depending on zoom
Curriehill Road
Marshall McKenzie Road
Alexander Avenue
Newtyle Road depending on zoom
These are not named on Google maps _________________ Drivelux |

Doesn't the fact the show up in the Browse Map screen and not the normal screen mean that someone has submitted these via MapShare?
Do the names disappear if you change the MapShare settings to not use any? |

MrT
The thought did cross my mind on map corrections, the only tick in the correction preferences is verified by TomTom.
The incorrect Street Names are
Riverside Park (area
Torrance Wynd
Curriehill Road
Clydeside Expressway/Beancross Road depending on zoom
Newtyle Road depending on zoom
the rest are all correct
PaulB2005
Ther is not an option to "not use any" only a slider and pulled to the left only Verified by TomTom is offered but you cannot un tick it
Hope this helps _________________ Previously owned: Street Pilot III, TomTom 720, Navigon 7100

I'm sure you can switch it off totally. I'll have a look later. |

You can remove all map share corrections added by TomTom from within the menu in Home then you can decide if you want to download them again.
Tools - TomTom Map Share - Remove Corrections - Remove all the corrections made by others or verified by TomTom.
You could always correct them yourself on your device. _________________ Drivelux |

That's it. Might be worth seeing if that makes the problem go away. |

Are you telling us that mapshare correction submissions are all accurate and are all included in the next version? _________________ Dennis
