I am in the market for a ew Satnav

The Go950 Live is shown as £20-00 dearer than the Go Live 1000 Europe,
Which of the above 2 is the better buy and why?

As I understand it, the 1000 does not permit the use of the PGPSW camera database - that would be a deal breaker for me. But you're not comparing like with like. The 950 has maps of Europe and North America - a fairer comparison would be with the Go 750

See the 'Go 1000 Live - Reviewed' thread, though I expect you already have. The best bit of advice is not to buy any brand new model until it has been around for six months and the bugs are known or sorted [works for cars too]. So depends how urgently you need a TT, GO 950 is an OK machine with most of the bugs dealt with. I'm not a Live user, but most of the problems seemed to be about Live services and my impression is that they have been steadily improving [or at least advice on fixes is pretty good].
