Hi,
After updating my map I appear to have to re-enter my favorites and custom POI warnings, which I have done manually
Can I individually backup my favorites/POI warnings prior to updating my map, and then reinstate them after the map has been updated ?
My GPS is a TT Go 520 |

If you back up the mapsettings.cfg file from the map folder before the upgrade then in most instances you can copy it back after to restore the settings. |

There are many, many discussions about this, on the forum.
For more details about when it works and particularily what to try if it doesn't, try a forum search for that filename. |

I have used my old v8.50 MapSettings.cfg file with the new v8.55 map and it seems to work okay on my GO530 |

Alas it doesn't work with my 720. And I did go into Home and edit a POI category, as recommended in previous threads, before putting the old MapSettings.cfg file back

Robin | You need to put your old MapSettings.cfg file on first, then see if you get the rebooting loop. If you do, then Operate you device in HOME and create a new favourite. That works for me. _________________ TT Go Essential |
