Mind I do only get a max 2Mb connection out here in the sticks. |
My UK and Ireland map took less than five minutes saw the post early and got a 21Mb/s connection ((that delivers the speeds it is connected at) courtesy of Be. Well pleased. _________________ TomTom Go 540 - V9.058, Map GB & Ireland 860.3101

If you download the zoned versions they are still 850, which is a little annoying! I tried deleteing the Northern Region from the computer so forcing a clean download but still 850
I will download 855 W&CE when it is quieter on the TT server but I quite like the zoned areas as my 750 powers up much faster with a region selected than the whole europe map.

I have been downloading since I first posted and it is still going, never known it be so slow. The first 2GB was well under an hour but the last 200MB have taken the rest of the day. _________________ Drivelux |

The server needs a reboot and more capacity adding. I have given up for today, in five hours the blue bar has hardly moved.
I'll be in Holland in a couple of weeks, wonder if the TomTom office will have a To Let sign outside! |

I'm not going to bother, my ADSL connection has failed, along with my phone line (don't ask how I'm connected at the moment I haven't a clue!) anyhow I've got a connection speed of 33kbps (fax speed!), until BT can be fricking well bothered to fix it. _________________ Be alert.. 8.55 finally installed after about an 8 hour download (10 Mb commection )
New road layout at Shawfield Stadium Glasgow is still not showing on this map. It was shown correctly on 8.45, reverted to the obsolete layout with 8.5 and this has still not been rectified with the new release.
Does Tomtom have any quality control at all? Are we simply being fobbed off with old maps renumbered?
How many other updates to 8.45 have been lost with the last 2 updates.... _________________ GO 750 Live HD Traffic, Map Europe 930, Navcore 9.510 |

No, in fairness, the changed road layout around the new development in central Newcastle in which I live - and which I've been reporting to Tomtom since 2006 - has finally been updated on this map. |

You mean they should turn it off then on again? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

23 hours remaining on a 20Mb connection for WaCE. I think I'll give up for today. |

I struggle to comprehend why it takes some people so long to upgrade maps. My UK&ROI map was downloaded and installed in around 6 minutes. This has been the case every time I have upgraded. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |
