I have a S505D Navman which has started to make , what I can only call a chiming sound. While on route it might start to make this chiming sound about once every 10 or so seconds, its not the camera sound. It dont make it all the time but when it starts its a bit of a pain. I have looked at the online manual but cant see anything about it yet. I started to think it was to do with POIs so I turned some off but still I get it. Anyone know what it is ?
Thanks |

I don't know that model of Navman, however it is possible it is the Speed Alert function telling you that you are speeding. maybe you have set it without knowing. |

Hello
I have looked at all the settings and the speed alert is off. Today I got this noise while stopped in a road, about every 10 - 15 seconds. I got fed up and turned it off. It could be something very simple, but I cant see it. |

The chiming soung is the traffic alerts comming through.
To turn them off you need to adjust your settings.
to adjust tap on the traffic menu, then pop the menu out and tap on preferences. The top 2 options should be set to 'yes'. if not tap on them to change. Now you will only get notified about alerts on your route. |
