CoPilot 5 vs iGuidance 2

Anybody had experience with both yet, to offer an opinion? I know CoPilot 5 was just released.

Iguidance/Routis is a tad more intuitive, but CoPilot has a few advantages like planning of complex routes, POI proximity warning, newer maps which finally include the side of the street your destination is at (very important in the US).

I would position IGuidance for the novice user, and CoPilot for a small business owner who needs navigation to help in his job.

I have been using iGuidance 2.0 for a couple of weeks now and do find it to be a very good program. One good thing in the US is that odd numbered addresses are usually on one side of the street and evens on the other. All you need it to see on address and the rest will follow that system. As far as POI, if you are looking them up on the fly (travelling and decide to look for a close place to eat, for example) then the POIs become much more important. If you plan in advance, and look up address, then you can just plug that in. Though I have to admit, I looked for a couple of places and found they were in the iGuidance database.

Of course that is only on streets having a 45 MPH speed limit, right? Wink

Speed limit? what speed limit? I guess these signs are also affected by the overall information overload...

I hear you. I had to learn to use my speed control because my car has a mind of its own. It has an automatic spoiler that opens at 95 MPH and it likes to have it open. :D
