It wasn't 3:26am in the US. It was between 6:26pm and 9:26pm depending on your timezone in the US. If in California it would have been right in the middle of the evening rush hour. |

Being a European company they probably thought for their maintenance it would be better in the small hours in Europe. _________________ Drivelux |

It would help us if you added your location to your profile. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I've just had Error 1001 (SIM Card Fault) on a new TomTom750 LIVE straight out of its box.
Having spoken to TT Customer Support, it's a 'known problem'.
The way it was explained to me it's almost as if it's 'pot luck' if a new unit suffers from this fault or not.
However, Amazon have already sorted a replacement & will be with me in a day or so! _________________ Jaguar XF R Sport AWD

The fix seems to be to switch the unit off (maybe after totally draining the battery) and then driving at least 2 or 3 miles with the unit off. Switch on and wait. |

Thanks Paul,
I'll try that if the next one does the same... _________________ Jaguar XF R Sport AWD

?? If you did a search for "1001" there are two threads in the top ten results that specifically mention the error message in the subject title!! Always would a quick search on keywords before posting. |
