I have updated my PGPSW seed camera database and notice it lists a Gatso at 90mph! Where in the UK can anybody drive legally at 90mph? |

Which version of the database did you download?
There was no 90mph camera in the TomTom speed zoned complete database that I downloaded on Thursday. _________________ Paul |

The 90mph cam crept in unnoticed several weeks ago, but has subsequently been removed |

Apparently in Oxfordshire and Swindon most cameras are now safe at 90mph. _________________ Drivelux |

As M8TJT says, one crept in by mistake some time ago. I presume you don't delete previous database when you update your TomTom (I don't either, simply copy and replace). That means you need to actually delete the category of 90mph Gatso from your TomTom, because the new DB doesn't overwrite or delete it. _________________ Dennis

The database with the 90mph was XXXXX. Luckily I had my map on a duplicate sd card and just put that one in with the latest PGPSW database and all is fine.
edit by GerryC : removed unique download code |

I always use copy, paste, replace to update my devices but must have missed the update that included 90mph as I dont have it. I thought I always updated on a weekly basis perhaps it was not there all week.
I feel deprived now that I have not got one the rare exceptions? |

If anyone has the 90mph camera, you just need to remove the UK gatso 90 file. The usual download files will overwrite any older versions as they use the same filename.
I seem to remember that the download was updated when the error was noted so you may have downloaded after it was corrected.
As for legally driving at 90 or above: Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Rockingham etc let you as fast as you can if they let you onto the circuit.
PS I've deleted the download code as that is linked to your individual download. _________________ Gerry

We spotted the error VERY quickly and the download was changed - you needed to be a keen early downloader to get the version with the 90mph Gatso. Those of us who did, really should get out more. _________________ Dennis

When I drove around the track at Brands Hatch I was told not to exceed around 60mph in a Formula Ford car, so I've never driven over 70mph!!!!1 And if you believe that...... |

when I did brands I was limited to 4000 revs in top. I was 1/3 the way round McLaren/Clark when I hit the limit doing about 100. Luckily my instructor told me to ignore the limit and go for it... :D I was a happy bunny, until a CanAm style car passed me like I was standing still. _________________ Mike Barrett |
