The circular cushion with the section that is lower to accommodate short arm mounts is 6" in diameter, but it is not very flexible and requires a reasonably flat bit of dash.

Alternatively does your car have a front quarter light? I have a comparatively deep set quarter light [airbags all round], and use a RAM mount on it, but a goose-neck would also be long enough, though no experience of how resistant to flexing they might be. The thinking being that it is easier to wipe sucker marks off the quarter light than try and clean the windscreen. Also a ql mount would put it in your favoured rhs position? _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

My car doesn't have a quarter light, so that's out.. A skodas dashboard is mostly sloping and rounded, so it would be ideal for a beanbag mount, however the dashbox screws it up completely. |

That leaves air vent mounts, charger mounts, drink holder mounts, and also the sun visor mount. Never used any of them, but air vent mounts have a firm fanbase. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]

Time to pour yourself something comforting, and reflect on all the gadgets which are supposed to make life easier. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]
