Does anyone else out there have a problem with OS4 on the iPhone 3G? I hear that it runs fine on the 3GS but the this upgrade has seriously knackered my iPhone 3G and you can't (easily) downgrade either. If people out there haven't "upgraded" to this broken release of software then DON'T TOUCH IT WITH A BARGE POLE.
If you have then I've found that Settings - General - Home Button - Spotlight Search and switch off all the search options helps a bit. It's still seriously broken though.
Is this Apple's way of getting us all to upgrade? Grrrr. It's been broken for long enough, they need to get a fix out.
Sorry, rant is over. _________________ Gone fishing! |

it works BUT it is very very slow... in that you can finish typing a text message and a few seconds later the screen will catch up. apps take a long time to load too. apparently apple are aware and are looking at fixing the speed issues - whether this will be incorporated in 4.1 or not is yet to be seen

In a single word to describe a 3G iPhone running OS4 there is only one although I don't think its in the dictonary yet - CRAP
Slow is an understatement, add to that issues with network and in particular Voice Mail being unavailable, I wish I hadn't bothered with the "Downgrade" - Mike |

That is because it is an acronym for a:
Concern
Requiring
Attention
Promptly

4.1beta DOES seem better though. not as fast as 3.0 (or 2.2 for that matter) but app-folders are a god-send so worth keeping iOS4.1 for!
