Just dug out my Ipaq h2210 and thought that i would install 2 more tom tom maps on the SD card as i have only used the GB one , so I put the France one on and Italy but when i went to change the map preferences only the GB and France maps were showing no Italy any idea why guys .
its no big deal as i have Tom Tom one XL but only with UK maps installed but trying to sort this out will keep me off the streets for a while ..  |

| G'day young Mike nice to hear from you again , No I was trying to install the maps on my PDA SD card with the same GPS receiver that you have the Holux GR 271.I have not used it for ages and in between winding up my watch and running to the toilet I thought I would have a play around with it, After taking your advice on the problem that i had with my Tom Tom XL I had no trouble at all on my holiday this year with it worked great ,hope you are keeping well , |

If you are installing the maps to the card from the CD/ DVD then the application suppplied on the disk should handle the map transfer to the memory card.
If you look at the memory card using Windows Explorer is there an Italy map folder on the card and if so whats in it? - Mike |

| yeah the Italy map folder is on the card and contains similar stuff as the french folder but the French folder shows in Change map menu |

I have cracked it . for those who may have this problem in the future what i did was a hard reset and re installed all the programmes again , yes i know that is a real pain , but with no one else having any better idea's it was worth a try, and now every thing works AOK . If someone comes up with a better idea please post..
