New User and a Question

Hi Guys

Been meaning to buy a Sat Nav or GPS for sometime and have at last got around to it - came down on side of GPS as will be used for trail riding/cycling/walking.

Never having owned a SN or GPS before was quite daunting having a play with it and reading the online manuals but I'm getting there!

Have managed to produce a route in SatSync and export it to the Satmap OK so I'm making progress

Question is that when having the full 1:50000 GB card in, the file areas and Import & Export buttons in SatSync were greyed out/inactive - is this right - is the card full?

Have bought a couple of 1:25000 cards since and I exported my route onto one of those no problem.

Looking forward to producing some more routes but my paper maps will not be redundant!

Hi Bimbler,

Welcome to the group.

If you can get it to work with 1:25,000 cards then my first suggestion about the 1:50,000 is that you check to see if the write protect tab is in the protect position.

Use a card reader to backup your map, license.map and CID.xml files.
