Brodit Mounting - Installed At Last!

Hi folks,

Yesterday I finally got around to installing the Brodit Pro Clip and Active Mount for my Go 730 into my Peugeot 3008.

Why I didn't do this a couple of months ago when I got them I don't know - the whole thing, including taking photos, took about 20 minutes!

I've been for a trial run with the unit in place and it was rock solid and makes a huge difference to when I was using the suction mount on the side window.

Just got to find an appropriate place to mount the remote now...

...they are the best aren't they ,I've used them for as long as I can remember ,they are a little pricey but worth every penny

I have had two problems with a Brodit vent mount in my Mondeo
1. It was a very tight fit, so it has distorted the plastic facia that it presses against. It will be unsightly if I remove it before selling the car.
2. The pressure from the tight fit of the tab has cracked the bezel around the clock.
With hindsight, I wish I had used an Arkon bean bag. We use one in my wife's car and it is rock steady.

The ProClip is better (in my opinion) than any vent mount. The one for my Audi A4 is a good snug fit top and bottom of the air vent and when removed there's no distortion and no sign that it was ever there.

Next job is to hide the power cable, I tend to feed it through the air vent and install a secondary ciggy charger socket behind the dash for the TomTom car charger to plug in to - Food for thought, but your install looks neat - Mike
