I have both Tomtom and Navigon and for me Tomtom wins by a distance.
Navigon has taken me the wrong way along one-way streets, always insists on going the long way round if there is an alternative available and it won't work at all unless I have my iPhone clock in 24 hour mode.
Tomtom is not perfect but it does give sensible routes in my experience which do vary according to the time of day and the traffic is very accurate.
A lot of people prefer the interface of Navigon but Tomtoms simpler style suits me fine. |

I have Navigon, not had any problems with routing, gives three alternatives, and you can tweak the settings, even has a scenic option, recent update, free, with newer maps and a few add ons, I use this on my IPAD and find it very good. You can get UK or EU naps and in app add on for traffic seems to work very well and is accurate, though of course needs that you have 3G signal. |

TomTom hands down. It wasn't great on launch, but the updates, overall product maturity, and very accurate traffic are a winner. |

I also agree with SSR.
Been using TomTom for last week and in my opinion it is streets ahead of the rest now.
