yes, we're working on that. I was going to wait until the white iPhones are available but that doesn't seem to happen any time soon. My development device will arrive tomorrow (just in time for the recall maybe?) _________________ Lutz

Since upgrading my iphone to ios4 and ios4.0.1 Camera Alert (the latest version on iTunes) has become very unstable with random app shutodowns and freezes. There is an indication that it is linked to problems donwloading map sections but it is not obvious whether this is just a symptom or part of the problem. Prior to that the application was remarkably stable and extremely accurate.
Hope an uodate is in the works (now that you have a dev phone on the way) |

unfortunately the 3G is barely able to run iOS4 (mainly due to the lack of RAM memory). We are doing everything we can to reduce the memory consumption of our app but that does not prevent the operating system from jettisoning us (and other apps that dare to use memory) at their leisure. There is no obvious bug in our app that is causing this. _________________ Lutz

Thats probably the reason I get booted after 8 minutes of use. Shame really, I like the App. But hopefully I will put it onto a new iPhone 4 in the very near future (Pension funds permitting)
It now works without crashing.. I have now got a new iPhone4 !!!! |

The v1.2 app update was submitted for Apple approval well over a week ago.
Out of our hands now, we can but wait for the green light from Apple.
On the issue of the 3G, the 4.1 update released today does wonders for performance issues on that model. Hopefully it leaves a little more room for our app to run. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi Darren,
Is the 4.1 release only for the 3G as it's not offered for the 4? _________________ Mike

4.1 is for all devices and will become available at some point today on all devices. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Any update on this as v1.2 still doesn't appear to be available? Are there issues with Apple's approval? |

Apples' approval process is taking an age at the moment and it's affecting everyone.
We had a setback as it was rejected for not having Google logos on the map images, a new requirement.
We've corrected and re-submitted but now have to wait yet again.
Good news is we have just reached the 'in for review' stage which is the final one before getting the green or red light.
Fingers crossed it'll be good news in a few days. _________________ Darren Griffin |

We just got the green light a few minutes ago, and the version 1.20 should appear in the App Store momentarily. _________________ Lutz
