TomTom customer care again, I have had a response from our 2nd technical department.
Unfortunately the error relates to your account here on this end and in order to resolve this issue we will need to remove the Live Service Monthly Subscription.
Once removed, we will immediately assign 3 full months of Live Services to your account for your use.
In order to continue your service after the three months you can purchase a prepaid 1 year Live Service through our Customer Care, Webshop or TomTom Home software, now at a reduced rate of £47.99. This is a one off payment for the year. It is no longer possible to purchase a rolling subscription on a monthly basis.
Please reply as per the instructions at the bottom of this mail to confirm you are happy for us to proceed with cancelling your Live Services Rolling Subscription?
I look forward to hearing from you again soon.
With Kind Regards |

Yes It's now working and all expiry dates are the same in October so it was TT and it looks like they are just trying to get out of monthly rolling subscriptions.

I got the same reply from TomTom as nibor. I've written back asking them to re-instate my account as was. I've no intention of paying them in advance for anything. The robbed me of three map updates when I changed devices and I vowed them never to pay in advance again. |

Basically same story here: last week I was travelling and upon entering France (changing network) suddenly all the LiVE services stopped working.
A full reset (and a painless resetting of all POI alarms ) reinstated the service but immediately after I was unable to use Google and Wheather because of the "loop" already described.
Back home contacted Tomtom and got the same reply: "we will cancel your monthly subscription and gve you 3 months free ..."
I seems that it was (is) a major tomtom's servers fault that affected all monthly subscriptions. I don't think it was planned just to get rid of the monthly subscritions: I looks more like a bad server software update.
What puzzles me is that they still have to manage the monthly subscritions for iPhone, but probably those are managed differently.
PS at least (for once ) I was lucky: my monthly subscription was due for renewal the 15/7 so I got a full three months free |

TomTom added "Google" "Live Services" with a September renewal date to my unit. The Google "Local Search" with last years date is still there but I have Google search now but no weather.
I had put this thread in my last support update along with one from another forum and I got the Google search after that. |
