I'm sorry if I seem to be a bit thick but I downloaded speed cams for UK and France into my Nuvi 255w and they appear under extras as custom favourites but the unit keeps silent and got flashed in France. Would appreciate advice as everyone seems to be v. knowledgeable on here-apart from me that is. |

Hi and welcome.
The instructions for installing the PGPSW database to a Garmin Nuvi is here
If you are loading both UK and EURope databases please read this thread
Try again and see how you go..
Make sure that Proximity Alerts is ON under Tools, Settings, Proximity Alerts |

Deleted everything previous re did all according to video[excellent] and followed instructions to the letter. Many thanks for helping will recommend this site as essential for all with GPS. |
