Thanks C1man
After 4 hours I finally got it working!
No problems downloading & installing POIWarner but I was going round in circles with different formats for the pois. Tried to do a clean download from the Caravan Club Site but I should have read your post properly - All I saw was Navman format and not the asc bit!!
Also I tried putting the files in the Export folder on my PC and then syncing it. What with fiddling about on the computer and then keep unplugging the sat nav and going into the conservatory to get a signal...
Finally got it right - converted my existing files from Garmin csv files to Navio asc files in Poi Edit then did as you said and dragged them into the Pois folder on the memory card.
Just got to test it out and then tweek the settings and then we are ready to drive to Italy with it. |

One interesting foible that I discovered the other day (not sure if this has been discussed before, but anyway...):
Make sure that you have a GPS signal on the Navigon before you perform a "Search in Radius" and select a POI to navigate to. I did one the other day before getting locked on, and was getting nicely echoed instructions - and they weren't always the same
For example: "Turn left in 500 yards" and a second or 2 later "Take the 1st exit onto the A500 in 200 yards". I worked out that this is because both POI Warner and the SatNav itself need a GPS lock-on, and as they locked on in different locations, they got out of sync... _________________ Drive carefully; the Government needs all the Taxpayers it can get. |

Right, tested it out yesterday.
I need to take the warnings off most of them - it gets a bit annoying every time you pass a tesco or a Lidl and it is shouting 'warning' at you!!
But my next problem is there are no symbols. Is this right? |

But my next problem is there are no symbols. Is this right? | I don't have audible warnings set for anything but speed cameras - and even then I have turned off all sounds except for an initial beep. The M4 around Newport is covered in SPECS and one beep every half mile is all I can stand.
Unfortunately Navigon disabled the map interface for Version 7 OS (looks like non-Navigon POIs will be allowed soon - see thread on new 70 models in this Forum). So all you get is the POI-W pop-up window with a symbol and a countdown display.
To navigate to a POI use the "As next destin." button which will create a Route called "0 POI-Warner POI" containing the destination - you can then modify this route or save the destination in the normal way.
In spite of these limitations it is better than being stuck with just Navigon's offerings! _________________ Tim
