Well you can probably guess that my name is Gerry and my surname starts with a C right? But how did I get the nickname Gerry in the first place?
I was known as Gez throughout school (and now by the family as that's what my nieces know me as) but when I started work there was already a Jas in the office and it was getting confusing. Somehow, people started calling me Gerry as an alternative when shouting across the office and it just stuck.
The worst bit is that I've forgot the story behind "MaFt" even though you've told me it yourself.

Not very interesting i'm afraid my first name is Paul, take that out of my username and you're left with my surname. _________________ Paul |

well, my 'real' name is Matthew. at home i was always called 'Maff' but when i went to uni i decided that Maff sounded a bit too childish so i told everyone to call me Matt. it worked for a while until friends started coming home and heard me being called Maff.
the 2 got merged together to become MaFt. also, around that time it was 'fashionable' to use varying cases when writing things so the 'F' got capitalised.
since 2000 i have been known solely as MaFt.
there you have it!
at CeBIT in germany a couple of years ago someone from Nav N Go (hungary) asked where my parents were from and the origins of 'MaFt' as a name :D

Nothing fancy about mine either - number off the car (which I no longer have)
Or alternatively, 2+5+3 = 10.
1+0 = 1.
number 1, the Ace. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

To be really boring: My name is Richard and the first time I had to create an identity was for a very early on-line newsletter and you had to subscribe over the phone and the UserId required one that had 10 alpha numeric characters.
Try coming up with something smart in a split second on the phone! _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

The Vandals do a song about these:
Quote: | Make it like that famous country singer
Or that guy I saw last night on Jerry Springer
Clean me up but let me keep my edge,
In the day i like to keep it dignified
But at night you know I got another side
And I don't give a damn,
Cause I am what I am
Even if it's really really bad.
I've got an Ape Drape,
Yes I do
They're givin' them to anyone,
And that means you
You can drive to Riverside and get one too
Then you'll have an Ape Drape like I do.
Go ahead and buzz 'round the ears
I've been growing that one braid back there for years
I've had it since the first time I saw Queensryche
The front may conform to society
But the back says I have personality
Even if it's really really,
Even if it's really really bad.
I've got an Ape Drape,
Yes I do
They're givin' them to anyone,
And that means you
You can drive to Riverside and get one too
Then you'll have an Ape Drape like I do.
Make it short in front and long in back!
If the top's not short enough that it stands up
I could be thrown out of the Bad Boy Club
But don't you lay a finger on my pony tail
Now fix my kid up so he looks like me,
And then matching crazy pants are all we need
Some may call it child abuse
I just call it bonding with your Dad.
