Anybody able to help with this one....??
I've got my McDonalds POI's set up to warn me if I'm approaching one en route from 100 yards away..
However - it's suddenly started warning me of ones OFF of my route - for example HERE
Where IF you are driving along the A47, it will warn you of the McDonalds POI that is situated in the Garage Complex (the building shaped like a TETRIS piece next to the - of the zoom).
This happens at MOST of the Maccy D's POI's.....??
Any ideas? _________________ XL LIVE IQ Routes (Europe)

Well the obvious thing to check first is whether "Warn only when on route" is still ticked in the setup for that POI.
(Manage POIs / Warn when near / choose the category / set distance / set sound - then the tickbox is on the next screen).
If that IS still ticked, there's not much more you can do.
The only other thing you could try is reducing the trigger distance.
TT in the past have altered their settings for what is defined as "on route" or not, to make it more sensitive. This means for example that entire slip-roads off motorways and the following roundabout get included, even if you are staying on the motorway.
But I didn't think they had changed it again recently.
Have you done any updates, changed maps, or reset anything that might have had an effect? |

Only thing I've done is to update to the latest map...
But it's been doing it for ages, and TT won't let me move the "trigger distance" to LESS than 100 yards...
Oh and YES - the box IS ticked!!
Suppose I'll have to live with it!!! _________________ XL LIVE IQ Routes (Europe)

Just as an update.....
DELETED my McDonalds POI's and after re-booting my TT it stopped warning me about them..
However it now warns me about a 50mph Speed Camera that doesn't exist!!
Should I just delete/rename my MapSettings.cfg file and re-configure them all again??? _________________ XL LIVE IQ Routes (Europe)

If you've ever copied an old version across after a new map or software update, then "yes", I would delete your MapSettings.cfg.
I'm convinced that the practice causes more problems (some of them quite subtle) than it solves.
(Whether or not it cures your problem is another matter though!) |

Have deleted the original file and will check to see if all is working later... _________________ XL LIVE IQ Routes (Europe)
