I have the Mapsource 6 European City CD and the unlock code that came with it, and 1 broken SP3 unit. To save money I'm thinking of getting a new one from the US, but obviously I'll have the US base map on the card. Will I be able to load the Mapsource 6 European City on the US card? What restrictions will there be? |

I went ahead and got a US one. Got the unlock code for the Mapsource 6 European City CD to use in a different GPS and it works a treat.
What's the consequences of the basemap on the memory not being UK? So far I haven't found a difference. |

You can definately have Mapsource activated for up to two GPS units - there is no extra charge for this!
Check Garmin's website for details. |

There is no problem other than the fact that if the maps aren't loaded for the are you're in then you won't have *any* map coverage, not even the built-in (and not very good anyway!) basemap. I've had a US basemap GPS V for over a year now and it works just fine with the European maps. _________________ Tim |
