MyTomTom Account in Prefs

I am trying to input my account details into my Go 550 Live so I can activate the one years free live services but it keeps failing after I put my password giving a message in the top right of "operation cancelled" despite the fact I have not pressed cancel.

I have checked and I have a full signal in the network section of the device information too.

Username and p/w are deffinately correct too and TT cust support dont seem much use sending me only some generic/automated responce...... any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is that sometimes if you keep your finger on a button for a millisecond too long, the screen changes and you accidently hit the button coming up on the next screen, which in your case could be a cancel button. Try doing a Linford' and see if you can hit the button rapidly!

Sorry if that doesn't help but I'm sure a 'Techie' will be along shortly.

I didn't have to do anything on my 950 live to get the free year.

I had to fill out a form on the website print it off then send it by post to the address the website gave.

I have just checked the live services on my 950 and it says they are all valid until 26/6/11 as I brought the unit on the 26/5/10 with the free month it would seem that all my paper work got through and pretty quick too

I have had the same on the XL LIVE - it seems when you click OK the Cancel button for the next screen is in exactly the same place, so sometimes you end up cancelling!

You need a lighter touch
