This surprised me, you can't buy the actual Active-10 GPS units directly from Satmap any longer. They only seem to sell the maps and the accessories now.

No idea, but the A10+ is currently reduced by £100 on amazon... Bargain.
I can't raise anybody at satmap via email to sell me some custom mapping, perhaps they're giving up the sales thing and just going into development |

I wonder if this means that what was effectively "retail price maintenance" will finally go. If they are not selling direct, perhaps we will see some real competition in the marketplace - I'm sure the A10 could be £100 cheaper in a free market. |
