TomTom LIVE Services now £47.50 / Year
Last week the cheapest i could find was £65 on eBay...
However it appears the monthly and quarterly options have gone.
Mine runs out in 2 weeks.... |

and I just renewed three weeks ago for a year. TomTom have the amazing ability to make their customers feel bad, they could at least offer to extend the period for those who have just subscribed. _________________ Drivelux |

Ask them - they might!
There's no indication this is a limited offer and i feel many who are selling the cards (around £70) on eBay will be annoyed too... |

I'm sorry, but I don't understand this attitude. If you book a flight today and the price is reduced tomorrow, do you expect the airline to refund the difference? Or a shop to do so if an item you bought yesterday is offered at a lower price today?
There are many valid reasons to complain about TomTom, but I really don't think this is one of them. _________________ Anita

Thanks for the information Paul - I hadn't received it and having paid £80 for the XL Live previously, I was not sure about getting it for the 550, but at that price it's a bargain so I've done it. _________________ Dennis

Yes I would return the goods for a refund and buy them again at the lower price. Wouldn't you?
As far as I see it TomTom sold me something for £80 that they valued at £50. _________________ Drivelux |

No, not if I'd used them. And many comparable items like software, DVDs etc are non-returnable once they've been opened. And how about the other example of the flight?

So nothing should ever be reduced from its original price? And if the price of Live Services had gone up instead of down you'd be happy for TomTom to reduce the period for those who have just subscribed? _________________ Anita

i'm with anita on this one. sometimes stuff goes cheaper - it's a fact of life! while it may be annoying no stores have any legal obligation to refund you your money. unless it's faulty or not fit for purpose.

Happens to me all the time as you say fact of life. Buy one day cheaper the next. You wouldn't be complaining if it had gone up in price. _________________ TomTom Go 950 Live.

But at the time you bought it, three weeks ago, you valued it at £80 otherwise you wouldn't have paid that amount. |

Exactly what I was going to say. What a ridiculous argument from Mr T.
We live in a free market economy where prices are driven by supply and demand and go up and down all the time. You makes your choice and you pays your money. You paid £80 and now it's down to £47 so just take your medicine, stop whingeing and be thankful it will be cheaper when you renew. |

Can't be used for LIVE services. Otherwise i'd have used it buy a month at £7.99 when they still offered a month option. |
