Hi! We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
What about those with subscriptions about to expire before maps are issued, will they get new map in keeping with 4 updates per subscription?
And I can only speculate about the future, now maps are out of sync, will others be loosing out and get 3 updates and not 4 as subscriptions expire? _________________ Mick

Just received this:
We would like to apologise for sending you an incorrect email yesterday (dated 8th June 2010), and for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The email stated that your new map, as part of your Map Update Service, is currently available. However, this map is not actually available yet, but will be by the end of June 2010.
The map will be richer in detail, containing more landscape details, Points of Interest and richer graphics, as well as improved road coverage. This means you will have even greater freedom to move and to enjoy your journey.
You’ll be informed again via email when your new map is available.
So "more landscape details, Points of Interest and richer graphics, as well as improved road coverage." Can't wait!!

and now from TomTom
Dear T,

See above Mr T, there's loads of us getting the same email.
Shouldn't be surprised though. I can't see they can build any richer detail etc. into the bigger maps as people with the regional versions would cry foul surely.
Reading between the lines they're having 'pruning' problems, as may have already been mentioned. _________________ Mike

Support told me it would be in 3 parts as I had a high model tomtom.
So I guess it could be quite nice if the detail is alot better, the POI's especially in the UK are poor to say the least.
I have a 940.
I was thinking of selling it and just use my iphone but will see what this brings

As I understand it the subscription is for 4 maps, not for a year or any other period of time. I'm on holiday in France at the end of June so I hope it comes before then. _________________ TT Go Essential
