|
|
I now have TT3 on my Ipaq 2215 running smoothly with Checkpoint and Postcode, many thanx to info obtained from the forums on this website.
I have been trying to connect via GPRS to TT Traffic. No luck with Orange and Panasonic X70 so changed to O2 with Sony Erricsson K700i.
At one point I managed to connect via bluetooth to the phone but could go no further i.e. no internet access.
I've followed the instructions on the TT website but still no luck.
Can anybody supply me with the necessary settings for the PDA and the phone to enable the connection?? |

You need to ensure you have the correct tariff first, you should be able to connect using GPRS on your mobile using the APN 'mobile.o2.co.uk' if you can then you just need to input the settings into the PDA, I think they are listed elsewhere if you search the forum |

Vanstmic - I rang the O2 technical support (through the operator - on hold for ages) and they sent the settings by text and I just saved them to me phone, however - I can't say if they are working or not yet, as I am still waiting for my Total PDA to deliver my TT3:oops: |

Basically if you can connect to GPRS on your phone and your APN is 'mobile.02.co.uk' then you should be able to connect your pda to the internet. If your APN is 'wap.02.co.uk' then it won't work |

I had the same problem with my ipaq 2210 and Sony Ericsson T610. When I eventually got some information from the appalling O2 customer service line the two critical things for me were:
1) Use the dial number *99***CID No# where CID No is the number found on the o2mobileweb profile on your handset - it's either 1 or 2.
2) Add the extra string command +cgdcont=1,"ip","mobile.o2.co.uk"
Mine works fine now.

just a note the erricson k700i can only handle one blue tooth link at a time the x70 should be ok though as it doesnt lock the bt port like the k700 does if conected to a headset early x70 couldnt connect to the ipaqs via bluetooth but if you speek to orange and ask them there is a sim update for the x70 which will allow it to use bluetooth to connect to ipaq then all you need is the extra dailstring command if orange say there is no update but is ive had it and used it crazy but you know how they work _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. If Orange refuse to do this SIM Update (and they did for my Nokia 6600 when the CALL DIVERT and NETWORK SELECTION were mssing!) go to one of the Ericson or Sony service centres. They wil do it and if in warranty, usually for free. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |
