Interesting, as I haven't been offered it. And I bought in July last year, so no excuse. Hmm, will have to do a cycle or two I guess of closing and rebooting etc. |

Oh! Is a new map due? So soon?
OK i'm not being offered anything (TT 740 with W&CE 2 Gb maps). However i can buy the 850 versions of several maps but not the Western & Central Europe 2 Gb one which is still on 845.
I notice the US and UK units above seem to be ok so perhaps there is some truth in the rumor they are struggling to fit the W&CE maps on the 2 Gb units? |

UK & ROI 850.2820 here. Slightly larger than the old map so maybe the EU is getting too big. _________________ Garmin Drive 51LMT-S EU

I think I understand now - the UK map is updated, but not the EU maps yet. From the "buy maps" option, about half are at 8.50. Someone still uploading I think!

Still running Navcore 7.903 and the MapSettings.cfg File from 845 works with the 850 _________________ Richard

The update I have is for UK & Ireland it does remove and create a new mapsetting.cfg file in the map folder so you will loose your favourites and other bits, but renaming it to mapsettingsold.cfg and copying back the mapsettings.cfg file from my backup taken before the update has restored everything and it functions OK. |

Offered this evening for my 520 and it took about 30 minutes to download and install. Renamed mapsettings.cfg and copied back the previous backup and changed a favourite, but I had still lost all settings.
Tried a pin reset, to no avail and then copied the old mapsettings.cfg to the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland folder and lo and behold, everything is back and fully operational. _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Just finished updating my 730.
No problems so far. And blow me down with a feather. They have finally got rid of the roundabout on the A33/Rose Kiln Lane junction in west Reading.
Only been telling them it hasn't been there for the last four years! |

Just downloaded UK RoI 850.2781 208.5MB. Think this is 5MB larger than 845 map. Too late too play with it. _________________ Mike R [aka Wyvern46]
