So, what is the current guesstimate of release? I got all ready last Wednesday with backups etc for the update. Or is it going to come out two minutes after I post this? |

I hear there won't be any new maps as it's only the map number that changes, but the maps always stay nthe same. TT realise they can't just renumber the old maps anymore. _________________ GO 620, Tomtom Android EU,

Hi technik
Mmm! Yes, you have a point. However, be you right or wrong the differences between twelve month old maps and the latest maps are very slight.
I use my employers Tomtom (2 year old map) on a daily basis and I reach my destinations just the same as if I were using my own latest map.
What with the hassle of downloading/installing/favourites/speed cameras and the price, I wonder, is it really worth upgrading every three months? _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Not for me! This will be the last subscription update I do until the price is lower and the update system keeps all the settings etc automatically and reliably. |

Or, maybe, every four months. _________________ Bill |

All I can say is that it's going to be sometime this year or maybe never. |

Or very very soon after that!
Y'know what worries me? I haven't had a single email offering me the new maps (old new maps - v845) at up to one third off. They usually have a fire (or car boot) sale of maps just before they release the new ones and if they are going to do that, then issue reminders two and three, my new GO550 won't get a latest map guarantee with the latest map because it'll take them until after my 28/30 days to get the next maps out! _________________ Dennis

I like others here have taken out the years worth of updates, so it looks like we may miss out on one of the updates. |

You know now. (My personal preference - the auto-censor didn't!). _________________ Dennis
