You are right. The voice is called "Canadian, Eh!" and he truncates a lot of words into one, such as 'Yrthere'. It's actually designated an 'English UK' voice. Very confusing....... |
Geez, Gee-Pee. Next you'll be telling me the correct pronunciation of the city I live in is NOT 'Trawna'! _________________ David |

Me too. It's been my standard setup since my Go720

In my case EVERYTHING is on the internal memory of the 950 |

|

Hi,
I have a Go Live 750
I have exactly the same issues reported by others.
If I attempt to use a Voice file and a computer voice then the unit hangs on the planning route screen, and then reboots after about 30 seconds. When it reboots it totally ignores that I had chosen a voice file and applies the computer voice only.
If I only select a computer voice the device works without issue. If I plan a route with the computer voice the planning stage completes and does not hang and reboot. If I them change the voice to use a voice file only or a voice file and the computer voice, then the device reboots every 15 minutes or so, and once again comes back up with the computer voice selected.
I reported this a support issue with Tomtom about three weeks ago, they came back asking me to delete all my voice files and POI's as they thought one of these were corrupt. Needless to say even after deleting all voice files except Tim and the computer voice, the device still malfunctions as described above if a voice file is selected. I have just received yet another set of procedures to run through from TomTom support, though I am not very hopeful it will resolve the issue.
I suggest all of you with this problem let Support know, as I have been given the line by support that no one else is reporting this problem.
If I get a resolution from TomTom I will let you know.

Now informed by TT that after going through 2nd level support that this is a known issue to the programming team. They are working to resolve as soon as possible. |
