Check the download location for the map - do you have a large zip file and a smaller activation file in there?
If you do, then you can install the map manually. Plenty of posts on here about how to install maps manually. |

thanks, left it a few days and it has just installed ok. lost faves but no surprise there so prepared for that. |

yes thanks Jock. I do keep them as POI's just in case but copying over mapsettings.cfg from backup fixed it this time.
