But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

I have created a long route for the Pennine Way. However when I try yo load this into my Satmap it complains there are too many waypoints. Is there a way in Memory Map (or external tool?) to split routes without having to delete and re-enter as sections?

Hi,
Within MM you can use the right-click operations : Convert Route to Track, Split Track, Convert Track to Route, but I think it will change/lose data such as waypoint names.
Alternatively, export the Route as a .CSV file and edit it in a spreadsheet such as Excel, or maybe even a text editor like Notepad. Search for CSV in the MM Help file for details of the text format.
I think there are other applications (such as GPSU) which will allow editing of routes, but I can't think of a free one which handles large files.
