London, UK - July 21 2004 ALK Technologies Ltd, leading developer of transportation systems, today announced the Worldwide launch of CoPilot live | Pocket PC 5, the most feature-packed and user-friendly CoPilot navigation system to date.

CoPilot live transforms a Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC into a powerful portable Sat Nav System, complete with lightening fast calculation of routes and spoken turn by turn directions door to door. dave can you change roads speed perferences and is it compatable with poi edit as i may get it to try out in the truck Thumbs Up

You can't change road speeds, but you can choose between two vehicles, namely Automobile and RV (good old americanism).

Unfortunately it's not compatible with POI-Edit, I have been talking extensively with ALK over the past 6 months to try and achieve this, but sadly it's not there yet, mainly due to the way that CoPilot has to export the POI's into the map data rather than overlay it like others do.

I don't think it's shipping quite yet to the public, it should be hitting distribution channels in the next week or so.

Might see if we can get a few copies for a compo! :D

Say if you had the County of kildare, Detail of Naas Town (if it's on) and a shot of some countryside, prehaps showing where the coverage ends?
