|
|
Hi. I have found a GPS310 that was given to me as a gift some years ago. :D
No matter what tweaking I do to the settings I cannot get it to track. The time also does not stay accurate, you can even see the seconds skipping erratically when you look at the clock.
Does anyone know if there is an internal battery or something that affects the operation of the clock? I guess that the unit is not able to track the satellites because the clock is inaccurate.
A near identical Blazer 12 works no problems with the same settings.
Many thanks |

Update. I wiped the memory by pressing the right arrow+pwr. Still didn't work
Can anybody shed some light on what the two values in 'X0' mean? |

Well it appears to be working now. I wiped the memory again and it took an hour to lock on. The seconds are still skip a bit but it keeps on time now! |

My Magellan 310 does exactly the same thing.
It counts min. like seconds. An entire day can go by in a half hour.
How did you re-set yours?
I tried the right arrow and the power but nothing seems to happen.

I also noticed that when you are on the time setting screen, and you press any button (like the light) after setting the time, the time speeds up again.
This thing is nuts.

Just got off the phone with Magellan service.
They got the problem fixed by having me re-set the unit and then going through the set-up with me.
Great service. I gotta hand it to them for customer support.

I had this problem with my 315. I took the batteries out and left it for a couple of days and it started working ok again.
This is probably them same as a proper reset. |
