Sorry for the delay in getting back.
I have deleted the TomTom fuel price and speed camera database from my device using TT Home. The only POI's I have left in the Europe_2GB directory on my device are the PGPSW speed zoned complete (.bmp and .ov2's) and my BT exchanges POI (just one .bmp and one .ov2 file). I have checked this using Windows Explorer.
I have set a short demo route that passes a known 30mph speed camera. The camera bmp is shown! Should I get an audible alert also? I have set one up in the "Manage POI" menu and I have checked that it is still enabled.
Having never used the demo mode before I don't know if I should or should not get an audible tone. _________________ Cracking Toast Gromit!

Does the speedcam icon appear both on the road ANd at top left of the screen? It should do if the alerts have been configured correctly? _________________ Darren Griffin |

To be sure of getting any audible alerts you should set the demo speed to no more than 200%. _________________ Anita

Looking Good!
I had the demo speed at 500%. When I took it down to 195% I got the cam alert tones OK.
Thanks for you help and advice, most appreciate. _________________ Cracking Toast Gromit!

Yes I get a small 30mph sign on the road and a slightly larger 30mph sign with a black box underneath counting down the distance.
I have removed the fuel price POI and the native speed camera alerts as well as my park & ride POI. All that remains is the PGPSW alerts and my BT exchange POI.
Funny though, while planning my demo route the device crashed several times, having to reboot each time. Not done that before. I did a software reset by holding the power button down for more than 15 seconds. It appears OK now, hopefully. _________________ Cracking Toast Gromit!

Not sure for all applications, Anita, but current one (8.351) on my 720 allows for the sounds (computer voice, for example) to be heard if the demo is 400% or less. _________________ David |

So it does, David! Thanks for pointing that out.
I don't know when it changed, but in the past we always recommended running the demo at 200% or less to get audible warnings.
I suppose it's better to run it too slow than too fast! _________________ Anita

I would just like to thank everyone for their advice (and patience) regarding this problem.
Thanks to you all it has been resolved. I used my TomTom on a proper route yesterday and the alerts worked fine.
Thank you. _________________ Cracking Toast Gromit!
