|

I have recently returned from a tour of new Zealand during which time i collected around 150 POIs.
At present they are arranged in some geographical order decided upon by the TT software. This arrangement has no relationship whatsoever with the actual itinerary.
I can load these POIs into Tyre and display them on a map but I don't know how to proceed from there.
What I would like to do is display an (approximate) route for our NZ travels.
Do I first have to sort the POIs into an itinerary (correct daily order) and if so how? Using the up and down arrows would take forever.
When the POIs are OK how do I display a route on Tyre? _________________ David

David
Once you have all the waypoints in the tyre window, you can move them up/down in the right order which you want, then show them as a route(pick from the icons/menus at the top) and save to whatever format (Tomtom/CSV etc) you like.
Rgds and good luck

David's problem is this:

I don't know of any other way to re-sort the order to your liking, unless by chance you were travelling in a steady direction (westward for example), in which case you could sort them by the Latitude column. |

Once you have loaded your POIs into Tyre, would it be possible to use them as a "guide" to creating a brand new itinerary, in the correct order, using waypoints just a few metres away from your original locations.? _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

Not much better rather than using the up/down arrows you can drag the visible entry to another position within the visible list. Slightly quicker but still not ideal. Doing it this way has the advantge that you can click Show to see your progress.
An alternative is to export the POI list from tyre (Save As) as a csv file which you can then load into a spreadsheet or word processor to manipulate the entries.
Neither way will give you the graphical map view to allow you to see your changes unfortunately, but if you have them named as well as the gps data it may be easier. |
