Some manual download links for older Navcores for the 550/ 750 Live models:
9,024
9,025
9,026
When Live services were introduced they didn't have pan European roaming at all, this ONLY applied to the x40 Live products, when the XL IQ Live launched that had full European roaming enabled from the day they went on sale as did the x50 Live products. Around Christmas the x40 products were given the full roaming availability.

Iam waiting to here from tomtom before i send it back,it seems alot of people are having the same problems.and they all seem to be tomtoms that where bought two weeks ago.One bloke got his from comet with the same problems and a sim that starts with 8931,he took it back to comet and they said get it touch with tomtom. And also ive been talking to a bloke from holland with the same problem,he bought his in germany it has a german based sim and wont work in germany or holland.I cant see comet messing around with maps myself, taking a dutch map off and putting a uk one on.

Just had this message on tomtom forum.(all ive heard so far is that its been passed onto second line support, ive replied saying i want it sorted in the next week or its going back and will be getting a garmin (which has similar features) im in the uk and sim starts with 8931. brought it from halfords and on the box it has uk) So i dont see any point in sending it back and getting a replacement till tomtom sort this.If it came to it where i had to sent it back,i might get a 540 instead, whats the differnce between the two models when it comes to live services.?

They have no obligation to replace it. Was it an amazon Marketplace purchase or an Amazon direct one?
Was it advertised as not being UK spec?
Either way, I'd be looking for a refund from the retailer. | Sorry for not answering,it was amazon direct one,and it was advertised as uk spec. |

My UK 950 also starts with the same numbers. My Sim ID number looks like 893144040000000xxxxx.
I think the important point is the '44' after the 8931.

I do believe that the sim card number is not the cause of your issue. If several UK users who purchased units' over here have the same sim card number, then I think that something else is causing the issue.
I would telephone TT tomorrow and ask for some advice!

Just had this off tomtom and google search is working now.
STEP 1 Back Up Your TomTom GO 550 LIVE
- Charge your unit for at least two hours (preferably via the home charger)
- Perform a reset on your device (see: http://www.tomtom.com/6965)
- Connect to the computer and then switch the device on
- Make a manual backup as shown on http://www.tomtom.com/3171 (Please scroll to the bottom of the page to make a manual back up)
STEP 2 Reset your TomTom GO 550 LIVE
- Reset your TomTom to factory settings via the Change Preferences Menu
- After resetting your device, you will need to set up your start-up preferences again. (Don’t do this just yet)
- Reset your TomTom GO 550 LIVE; see http://www.tomtom.com/6965 in how to do this.
- Switch your device back on.
- Now go through the Setup of your device.
STEP 3 Log into your device
- When your TomTom shows your current location (Please make sure your device has a good GPS signal), tap in the middle of the screen
- Now tap on “Change Preferences”
- Scroll along to “My TomTom Account”
- Please log in using your email address and password.
STEP 4
- In the Main Menu, tap on LIVE services.
- Now Click on My Services in the bottom right corner.
- Here you should now see all your Services and your Traffic bar should now be loading.
I just did a reset and that was enough. You have to wait till tomtom sort your live account out first before this works. Thanks for all your help everyone.

Do we know of the roaming covers ALL live features or perhaps it only covers traffic and or a subset of the home live features? |
Just seen this, in my experience all live services work whilst roaming. Google appears to be multi-lingual in my limited experience, eg 'cash dispensers' & 'shopping centres' works in France _________________ Go740L App 9.510 Europe 985.8155
