Ah yes, for single custom PoIs it's good. For multiple, not so good
I don't see TomTom working on custom PoI support, because they're always so keen to sell their own data. But if they get sponsorship from companies trying to sell PoI sets then it might happen.
Glad to hear the framerate has increased. Hopefully it will keep pace with reality a bit better than it used to. |

Google search isn't working for me
Every single search I try it comes up with 'An error occured'. |

I relented and bought HD Traffic. And it's very good.
You get a simple indicator onscreen, that shows whether there's a traffic problem on the route or not - green for OK, red for a problem.
Not sure how this works with other voices, but with a TTS voice I was told that there was a delay on the route, how long the delay would be, and whether the route had changed to accommodate.
Every 3 or 4 minutes I would get an update.
In short, exactly what I'm after, and better than Navigon's traffic system.
Now, is there any chance of TomTom adding support for custom PoIs to create the perfect SatNav software? |

Agreed I got to try out traffic today and I was also impressed. It kept giving me updates on the delay and when the delay on this route got to 20 minutes it told me it had found a faster route saving 5 minutes and did I want to take it. A small box appeared at the top for me to accept or decline which I accepted and it then rerouted me.
At a yearly rate which I brought it's £3 a month which I don't think is a big deal. It's vastly better than the Navigon system in both implemention and I think traffic data. |

Not that I wish to sing TomTom's praises per sé, but it's a good example of how minor changes in the implementation of software can mean a major difference in usability. |
